The Living Church has been recognized by its peers for news and feature content published in 2017.

Correspondent Kirk Petersen won Episcopal Communicators’ Award of Excellence for “Protracted Diocesan Lawsuits over Church Property.”

The Rev. Canon Jordan Hylden won a first-place award from the Evangelical Press Association for “Sustainable Housing for the Rest of Us,” an interview with Jason Ballard, founder of TreeHouse. EPA also honored “Becoming Lewis” by Retta Blaney and “From Captivity to Freedom” by Asher Imtiaz and Mari Reitsma Chevako.

The Associated Church Press also recognized Petersen for “Second Battle for St. James” and Imtiaz for “From Captivity to Freedom.” From Captivity to Freedom
