Digital Evangelist Logs In

Jeremy Tackett will begin serving as the Episcopal Church’s digital evangelist, a member of Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s staff, Feb. 1.

In this new full-time position, Tackett will help build relationships, create community, and foster an aspirational online social presence by managing and implementing the Episcopal Church’s growing digital evangelism ministry.

Tackett has worked as director of communications at Christ Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, and coordinator of publications at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky.

Tackett has extensive background in digital and social media platforms, web data analytics (Google Analytics, strategic email marketing, and social media engagement) and web engagement. He holds inbound and email marketing certifications from HubSpot and is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts.

Tackett holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Kentucky.

He has more than 10 years of experience in ministry and church leadership, in a variety of church settings and roles as both a professional and volunteer.

Tackett will be based in Raleigh and will report to the presiding bishop’s canon for ministry within the Episcopal Church.
