Trinity Church Wall Street will host “Scene & Unseen: Facing Race Through Film,” Feb. 8-9 at St. Paul’s Chapel.
Daveed Diggs, who wrote Blindspotting with Rafael Casal, will join a panel discussion of the film. The two-day conference will also feature a screening of Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing (1989).

- Michael B. Gillespie, associate professor of film at City College of New York and author of Film Blackness: American Cinema and the Idea of Black Film;
- Melissa Harris-Perry, professor and Maya Angelou Presidential Chair at Wake Forest University and founding director of the Anna Julia Cooper Center;
- Catherine Meeks, executive director of the Absalom Jones Center for Racial Healing and editor of Living into God’s Dream: Dismantling Racism in America;
- Stanley T. Talbert, PhD candidate, Union Theological Seminary and writer;
- Lisa L. Thompson, assistant professor of homiletics at Union Theological Seminary and author of Ingenuity: Preaching as an Outsider.
