The Metro (U.K.) reports:
Hercule Poirot may have solved his last crime and shuffled his mortal coil straight off our screens, but fans having withdrawal symptoms for the melodic timbre of a moustachioed David Suchet are in for an aural treat.
The British actor who played Agatha Christie’s legendary detective in ITV’s on-screen adaptations for 25 years has recorded the entirety of the Holy Bible on audio tape — all 80 hours and 752,702 words of it — for release next month.
… Suchet, who converted to Christianity at the age of 40 after reading a Bible in a hotel room in 1986, devoted 200 hours of his time to recording the audio book, and donated his fee to charity.
