Four North Carolina churches were honored recently by Episcopal Migration Ministries for their sponsorship of refugees last year. First Baptist, First Presbyterian and and Centenary Methodist in New Bern shared the spotlight with St. Thomas' Episcopal in Oriental. Working with New York City-based Episcopal Migration Ministries and Interfaith Refugee Ministries of the Diocese of East Carolina, the four churches welcomed more than 440 Russian, Vietnamese, Bosnian, Burmese, Kosovar Albanian, Iranian Baha'i and Montagnard refugess.
