  • For Topeka Congregation, 'Life Goes On' After Arson

    St. David’s Church, Topeka, Kan., will have to be torn down because of damage caused by a Nov. 10 arson fire. The congregation will celebrate Christmas at Temple Beth Shalom, located about five blocks north of the gutted building.

  • Dallas Seeks Leadership from February Primates' Meeting

    The Diocese of Dallas will not consider any new applications by congregations desiring to leave until after the Feb. 14-19 meeting of the primates of the Anglican Communion. The Rev. Ed. Monk, rector of St. John’s, Corsicana and president of the standing committee, informed the clergy of the decision in a Dec. 13 letter following a regularly scheduled meeting of the standing committee the day before.

  • Secretary General of ACC Clarifies Communion Status of CANA

    In response to a number of inquiries and after consultation with Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, the secretary general of the Anglican Consultative Council issued a brief statement Dec. 15 clarifying the status of the Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA) within the Anglican Communion.
