• A Statement from the Diocese of New Hampshire

  The Bishop and Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire met Oct. 16 and issued a response to the meeting of Anglican Primates from the 38 autonomous Provinces of the worldwide Anglican Communion for prayer, Bible study and discussion.

• Call for Nominations in NW Pennsylvania

  The 36 congregations comprising the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania are seeking a new bishop specifically knowledgeable about working with small congregations and who will take an active role in the administration and pastoral life of the diocese, according to a profile developed by the episcopal search committee and introduced during the annual convention in October.

• Church Services Honor Former President Ford

  Funeral events for former President Gerald R. Ford, who died Dec. 26 at age 93, began Friday when the casket was transferred to St. Margaret’s, Palm Desert, Calif. The 38th president and his widow, Betty, joined the congregation in 1977.

• Olympia Bishop, Priest Recount Covenant Process

  Early next year, the Rt. Rev. Vincent W. Warner, Jr., Bishop of Olympia, and the Rev. Duncan Clark, rector of St. Charles Anglican Church in Poulsbo, Wash., will travel together as friends to a conference on church planting sponsored by Rick Warren, author of The Purpose-Driven Life, and founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif.
