Standing Committee Fires Three of Four Full-time Staff in Northwestern Pennsylvania
The standing committee of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania has laid off three of the four full-time employees in the diocesan office. Members of the clergy and lay members of diocesan council were notified of the personnel changes in an email message dated May 22.

Presiding Bishop Urges Calm Approach to Lambeth News
Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori sent a short email message to members of the House of Bishops, urging “a calm approach” soon after it was announced May 22 that invitations to the 2008 Lambeth Conference of Anglican bishops had been sent and that Bishop V. Gene Robinson of New Hampshire did not receive one.
