The Leon County (Florida) sheriff’s office is investigating the alleged theft of between $100,000 and $200,000 from Church of the Advent, Tallahassee. A report was filed with the office in December.

“At this point, I’m not able to say much because it’s an open investigation,” said the Rev. Joan Pritcher, interim rector, to the Tallahassee Democrat. Detective Chris Coxwell also confirmed that an investigation was underway, and that no one had been arrested or charged, but would not discuss details of the case with the newspaper.

“It’s a very large case,” Detective Coxwell told a reporter for the Democrat. “It’s just a matter of putting everything together now.”
