Software Requirements

Interested in Ordering the TLC Online Edition?

The Living Church Foundation is now offering an online edition of its weekly magazine. It is the same magazine, offered in a PDF format. You may read the magazine on your computer, or you can print out the magazine pages if you have a printer attached to your computer.

To access The Living Church online edition, you will need a computer with a connection to the internet that meets the following technical requirements:

  • PC: Pentium 200, 64 MB RAM, monitor capable of 16-bit color
  • Mac: 150 MHz CPU, PowerPC or better, 64 MB RAM, monitor capable of “thousands of colors” or better

Web Browser

  • Internet Explorer 5.01 and up
  • Mac: Netscape Communicator 4.76 not 6.x
  • PC: Netscape Communicator 4.76 or 4.77 not 6.x
  • AOL 5.0 or 6.0

Software

  • Adobe Reader (available for free download) to open PDF files.

File download speeds and the clarity of the computer image depend upon your computer, monitor and internet connection. We have optimized the file size of each week’s issue to offer the greatest number of our readers the best combination of download speed and readability. Users with a high-speed internet connection should be able to download a typical TLC issue in less than 30 seconds; users with dial-up internet connections may face wait times of 7 minutes or more to view the issue.
