Update: The service is streaming live at this link.
For the millions of Anglicans unable to attend the Archbishop of Canterbury’s inauguration service in person, the web will help make the service accessible. “Anglicans the world over [have been] looking forward to this special day, and thanks to digital technology more people than ever before will be able to enjoy it,” said Jan Butter, director of communications at the Anglican Communion Office in London.
The British Broadcasting Corporation will broadcast the inauguration on BBC Two TV at 2:30 p.m. (10:30 a.m. EDT, U.S.) and BBC Radio 4 (LW) beginning at 2:55 p.m. GMT (10:55 a.m. EDT). For those outside the U.K., the service will be streamed live on BBC.com, with highlights of the service to be featured on BBC News 24. (StreamWatch may be a viable alternative for anyone who has difficulties with the BBC stream.)
